I am a medical student at the University of Leeds with a strong academic background in Maths and Science and a passion for helping students achieve their potential. I teach GCSE Biology, Chemistry and Maths and I work with students of varying abilities, from those who need help with fundamentals to those aiming for top grades.
My teaching style is supportive, structured and personalised. I understand that each student learns differently so I adapt lessons to fit individual strengths weaknesses and learning styles. I aim to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence in areas they may have previously struggled with.
In my lessons I start by understanding the current level of knowledge for a topic and then explain the concept accordingly. I use clear explanations, active recall techniques, and worked examples to ensure I teach effectively. I then use exam style questions after the lesson to help build confidence in the topics taught and to get students used to exam technique. I also teach students how to approach tough questions in a strategic way and manage your exam pressure well.
As a current medical student, I have recent experience with high-level academic study and competitive exams, allowing me to provide practical study methods and revision strategies that work. My goal is not only to help students improve grades, but also to help them become more independent and confident learners. I aim to make lessons engaging, productive, and encouraging, ensuring students leave each session with a clearer understanding and greater confidence in their abilities.
