Maths
I am a UCL graduate and an experienced Mathematics tutor with over three years of one-to-one teaching experience, primarily delivering online lessons for GCSE, IGCSE, and A-Level students. Over this time, I have completed more than 200 hours of tuition, working with students across a wide range of abilities—from those who feel stuck and need support with the basics to those aiming for top grades.
I understand that Maths can feel overwhelming for many students, especially when lessons move quickly or concepts aren’t fully understood. My approach is to slow things down, explain ideas clearly, and build understanding step by step so that students feel more confident and in control of their learning.
My teaching style is calm, structured, and adaptable. I tailor each lesson to the individual student, focusing on their specific strengths and areas for improvement. I break topics into simple, manageable steps and regularly check understanding to make sure nothing is missed.
Alongside building strong foundations, I also place a clear focus on exam technique. I help students learn how to structure their working, approach different types of questions, and avoid common mistakes—skills that make a real difference in exams.
Over time, students I work with typically become more confident, independent, and comfortable tackling challenging problems. Whether a student is aiming to pass, improve steadily, or achieve top grades, my goal is to support them in a way that feels clear, manageable, and effective.
I aim to create a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and gradually building both their ability and confidence in Maths.
