Alison Rowley

I am an experienced TEFL teacher with over seven years of teaching experience, including teaching English online and in language schools in Southwest China and the UK. I have taught children, teenagers and adults from a wide range of cultural backgrounds and at every stage of their English-learning journey, from complete beginners to more confident speakers.

My teaching style is calm, supportive and personalised. I tailor every lesson to each student's current level, preferred learning style and individual goals, creating a structured approach that helps students build confidence and make steady progress.

I specialise in conversational English, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and exam preparation. Whether a student is preparing for examinations or wants to communicate more naturally in everyday situations, I provide engaging lessons that develop practical English skills and long-term understanding.

I hold recognised TEFL qualifications, together with a BA (Hons), an MA and a qualification in Counselling Skills. Combined with my teaching experience, these qualifications enable me to create a positive learning environment where students feel supported, gain confidence and enjoy learning.

I believe every student can become an independent user of English. My lessons are designed to be enjoyable, practical and relevant, equipping students with the skills to communicate naturally in everyday life while achieving their personal and academic goals.
