Hi, I’m Sophie, a friendly and results-driven English tutor with over 4 years of experience working with children and young people, including 3+ years creating lessons and providing one-to-one academic support.

 

I specialise in helping students move from the basics to achieving their target grades through clear structure, strong exam technique, and an in-depth understanding of marking criteria. I work closely with each student to identify strengths, improve weaker areas, and build confidence step by step.

 

I teach reading comprehension, grammar, spelling, essay writing, creative writing, GCSE English, A-Level preparation, and 11+ English. Whether a student needs to catch up, gain confidence, or aim for top grades, lessons are tailored to their goals and learning style.

 

With a multilingual background in English, French, and Russian, plus a Psychology degree with knowledge of child development and neurodivergence, I adapt lessons to suit different learners and help every student thrive.
