Turning exams into a competition with the examiner, has ignited a passion in the most disaffected of my students. I teach a game called 'beat the examiner', which provides a set of rules for students to follow to squeeze as many marks out of each paper as they can.

 

My name is Deb and I am a qualified Advanced Skills Science teacher, specialising in SEND provision. I have taught all three sciences from KS2 to KS4. I have worked online with EOTAS package students for the last 7 years, providing education to students who cannot be catered for in mainstream. I have taught students with dyslexia, ASD, ADHD, AuADHD as well as other complex needs.

 

I also coach for GCSE and iGCSE exams, focusing on advancing subject knowledge while embedding exam skills. Using my 15 years as an examiner and team leader for multiple exam boards, I give my students the skills to find the examiner clues and traps.

 

I have limited availability for the next academic year, for short term contracts or contracts covering the entire academic year. I cover all three sciences to GCSE/iGCSE with the possibility of providing A-level Physics and Biology sessions.
